It is a month to honor a region whose influence on the world is wildly disproportionate to its size. From a string of islands and coastal nations smaller than most American states, the Caribbean has given the world reggae, soca, calypso, merengue, kompa, and dancehall. It has produced Nobel laureates, Olympic champions, revolutionary leaders, and generations of families who built new lives across every continent while holding tight to where they came from.
Today, millions of Caribbean people live and thrive across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands. They carry the culture forward in kitchens and classrooms, in music studios and operating rooms, in boardrooms and on playing fields. Caribbean Heritage Month is a reminder that this culture is alive, evolving, and global.
At Caribico, we believe the Caribbean's greatest chapter is still being written, and that the generation writing it deserves a movement that matches their ambition. This month, we celebrate the people, the places, and the future we are building together.
