The Caribico Fellowship

A Call to Lead the Caribbean Forward

An Appointment, Not a Position

The Caribico Fellowship is the highest leadership appointment in our organization below the executive level. Fellows are entrusted with the authority and the responsibility of leading the growth, certification, and performance of Caribico's chapters within an assigned region.

This is not a volunteer post. It is not a job listing. It is a calendar-year leadership appointment that places the holder at the operational center of a young, ambitious, and rapidly expanding institution. Fellows act as Caribico's senior representatives in their region, shape the organization's growth in their territory, and carry both the standing and the accountability that come with that role.

The Privilege of the Role

A Fellowship is not a position you fill. It is a privilege you are entrusted with. Each Fellow joins a small, deliberately curated corps of regional leaders shaping the organization at its foundational stage.

The appointment carries with it:

  • A formal title: Caribico Fellow, with full institutional recognition across the entire organization and its network

  • Private induction into the Caribico Fellowship corps, with permanent listing in the Fellowship's institutional registry

  • Direct mentorship and standing communication with Caribico's executive leadership

  • Full access to the organization's operational infrastructure: the Unit Director Handbook, event playbooks, recruitment systems, training materials, and partnership channels

  • A position in Caribico's leadership network, alongside other Fellows across regions

  • A formal Engagement Agreement that defines the appointment and protects both sides

  • A career-defining credential: a Caribico Fellowship opens doors for the rest of a career, in any field that recognizes demonstrated institutional leadership

What Fellows Do

The work is concrete. Fellows are responsible for:

  • Identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new chapter leaders within their assigned region

  • Certifying chapters once they meet Caribico's operational standards

  • Overseeing the execution of the twelve-event calendar across their chapters

  • Maintaining the leadership pipeline that keeps chapters healthy across years

  • Representing Caribico at institutional, governmental, and community levels within their region

  • Reporting on regional performance and contributing to organizational strategy

In short, a Fellow is responsible for whether Caribico actually exists in their region, and how well.

Who We Are Looking For

The Fellowship is designed for individuals who already carry the qualities of institutional leadership: discipline, judgment, ambition, and the patience to build something durable. Most Fellows are young professionals or graduate-level students with prior leadership experience and a serious connection to the Caribbean, whether by heritage, study, or vocation.

Connection to the Caribbean

Selection is rare and deliberate. Each Fellow is chosen, not hired. We are not looking for résumés. We are looking for people who would have built this organization themselves had it not already existed.
